Valdosta Junior Service League

Over the years, the Valdosta Junior Service League has created and sold many fabulous cookbooks in order to help raise funds for its community service projects. These include Southern Treasures (2002), Timeless Treasures (1993), The Holiday Hostess (1988), Tasters' Luncheon (1980), the hors d'oeuvre tray (1976), Valdosta Recipes (1968), and Who's Cooking in Valdosta (1955).

Southern Treasures is the newest edition to our cookbook family. It is a compilation of Valdosta Recipes, our most popular book, and Taster's Luncheon, of which only 250 were originally printed. Copies can be purchased for $20.00 plus tax by visiting selected local retail establishments, including Mockingbird, Perfect Settings, Steele's Jewelry, Valdosta Greenhouses, and Betty Webb. The first printing of Southern Treasures included 8,000 books. To date, over 6,000 have been sold just two and a half years after their arrival. A new edition of Timeless Treasures has just been reprinted and sells for $25.
