The Valdosta Junior Service League, founded in 1936, is a non-profit organization that’s purpose is to improve the cultural, welfare, recreational, civic and educational conditions in this community to promote volunteerism and to cooperate with other organizations performing similar services. The league gives its members ample opportunities to develop skills needed as a volunteer in order to complete current placements and to effectively contribute to the community beyond active years of service. Today, it is comprised of more than 100 active members and over 250 associate and lifetime members. Each active League member commits to volunteering 60 placement hours per year.
The home of the Valdosta Junior Service League is the historic Converse Dalton Ferrell House located in downtown Valdosta. The beautiful neo-classic home is available for rental.
