Dear Community Partner of Valdosta Junior Service League,
The Valdosta Junior Service League, VJSL, is an organization of women comprised of more than 100 active members and over 350 associate and lifetime members who are committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community. Through a collective force of dedicated women, VJSL strives to touch the lives of those in our community who need our assistance and involvement in their programs and outreach. During the 2016-17 League year, our members donated over 5,000 volunteer hours, provided hearing and vision screenings for approximately 3,000 students in Lowndes County’s and Valdosta City’s public and private schools, and presented approximately $5,000 in Learning Enhancement Grants to 20 local teachers. In addition, the 12 service projects our members participated in during our first annual VJSL Helping Hands Day directly impacted more than 3,350 individuals within our community.
Through Merry Marketplace and Tossed & Found Thrift Sale, VJSL raised thousands of dollars to contribute to non-profit agencies throughout Lowndes County. In this past year alone, VJSL awarded over $30,000 in donations to organizations within our community. Our vision is to broaden our outreach and impact a larger segment of our community, but we need your help in this endeavor! We invite you to join us in our efforts by becoming a corporate sponsor for the 2017-2018 League year.
This year’s events will include Merry Marketplace, Tossed & Found Thrift Sale, The Character Achievement Princess Party, and the Spring Social. Merry Marketplace, our holiday shopping extravaganza, will be held on November 18 and 19 and will feature over 100 boutiques and vendors from across the Southeast. Our annual thrift sale, Tossed & Found, held March 3 offers those in our community the opportunity to purchase gently-used merchandise at a sizable discount. The Character Achievement Event, held February 10, has become an annual event to award young students with exceptional conduct in school the opportunity to dress up as princesses and enjoy their favorite animated “characters.” Finally, on April 27 League members and their guests will have the opportunity to attend the Spring Social.
As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to choose the event where you would like your business to be recognized and showcased. Specific recognition levels are available on a first come basis. The promotion of your business will also include printed name recognition in the VJSL annual publication, on the VJSL website, and on social media.
Your support helps make our programs possible and positively impacts the lives of people in our community. We hope that you will consider a partnership with us at any level and we thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Please see here for the various levels of participation and recognition that are available to our potential partners. In order to ensure that your business receives all benefits of sponsorship, all donations must be received no later than August 11. Should you have any questions, please contact Leann Miller, Sponsorship Chair, at 404.285.8799 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
