Valdosta Junior Service League

Dear Community Partner of Valdosta Junior Service League,

The Valdosta Junior Service League is an organization of over 100 active members and more than 400 associate and lifetime members who are continuously committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community. Through a collective force of dedicated women, the VJSL strives to touch the lives of those in our community who need our assistance and involvement in their programs and outreach.

During the 2019-2020 League year, our members donated over 5,000 volunteer hours, provided hearing and vision screenings for approximately 3,000 students in our public and private schools, and raised thousands of dollars to support non-profit agencies throughout Lowndes County hosting two of our three major events: Merry Marketplace, Tossed & Found Thrift Sale.  The Spring Benefit Social was, unfortunately, cancelled due to the pandemic   In addition to these and many other service projects, our members participated in our 3rd annual United Way & VJSL Community Day directly impacting more than 3,350 individuals within our community. Our vision is to broaden our outreach and impact a larger segment of our community, but we need your help in this endeavor! We invite you to join us in our efforts by becoming a corporate sponsor for the 2020- 2021 League year.

This year’s events with sponsorship opportunities will include Tossed & Found Thrift Sale, the Character Achievement Princess Party, and the Spring Benefit Social. Merry Marketplace, our holiday shopping extravaganza, is cancelled for the first time since its beginning over 45 years ago.  We are saddened to have to cancel this wonderful event, however we feel it’s best for the safety of our members and our community.  We are hopeful and optimistic to hold our events this coming Spring.  Our annual thrift sale, Tossed & Found, held February 21th, offers those in our community the opportunity to purchase gently-used merchandise at a sizable discount. The Character Achievement Event, held February 6th, awards young students with exceptional conduct in school the opportunity to dress up as princesses and enjoy their favorite animated “characters.” Finally, on April 10th, League members and guests will have the opportunity to attend our annual Spring Benefit Social. All proceeds will go directly to the restoration of the Converse-Dalton-Ferrell House.

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to choose the event where you would like your business to be showcased. Specific recognition levels are available on a first come basis. The promotion of your business  also includes printed name recognition in the VJSL annual publication, as well as on the VJSL website and all of our social media outlets. Your support helps make our programs possible and positively impacts the lives of people in our community. We hope that you will consider a partnership with us at any level and thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

Please see HERE for the levels of participation and recognition available to our potential partners.  Should you have any questions, please contact Andrea Brantley, Sponsorship Chair, at 229.563.6691 or  apbrantley5@gmail.com. For more information about the VJSL, please visit www.vjsl.org.

With sincere thanks,
